I’m Kayti, the artist (bauble forger) behind Three Flames Silverworks. From my home studio in Seattle I craft work inspired by mythological feminine figures and the crafts and beliefs of Celtic and Nordic ancestors. These pieces are talismans, armor, declarations, reminders, and celebrations.

I believe that we each carry echoes of these legendary figures within us in our modern lives.  We are modern day legends- feminine figures with our own mythologies, our own battles, our own journeys,  our own incredible achievements, our own triumphs and heartbreaks worthy of celebration, respect, and adornment.

Jewelry has been a way for me to express myself for as long as I can remember. I design work that makes a statement-pieces that feel brave and compliment the natural style and personality of the wearer. We use jewelry and adornment to define ourselves, to make statements, to celebrate, to connect, and to ward off the unwanted.  Adornments are personal, intimate, and powerful. I enjoy the compact scale of jewelry and it’s ability to contain volumes. 

I carefully choose each stone for color, shape, and the properties it is believed to carry.  Each setting is crafted to best match the stones they hold.

The Silverworks was named for the three “flames“ of Brigid, a goddess of my Celtic ancestors. She commands the flames of the smith's forge, the hearth fire (family, love, and connection) and the spark of poetic inspiration- all fuel for the metalsmith. Brigid has survived the centuries as a symbol of strength, creativity, craftsmanship, and purpose. All values I hope come through in my work.
